Overview

A mentor is there to inspire, encourage, and support you. They will contribute to your personal and professional development and help you achieve your goals - whatever they may be. Sign up for a mentor and you will receive:

• Support for a minimum of one hour, once a month from a fully trained mentor
• A long term relationship (between 9 – 12 months) where you’ll receive one-to-one advice and guidance tailored to your needs
• A safe and secure environment to conduct mentoring sessions
• The opportunity to access support with your personal development, exam preparations, further education options, career options, applications, interviews, and settling into a new job or company 

AM I ELIGIBLE?

You can become a mentee with us if your age is between 14 and 25yrs. For over 18s you can sign up directly on our platform. If you are 14 - 17yrs old, please reach out to us directly at enquiries@1mm.org.uk to express interest. We can then explore how to set up a programme that you can be a part of.

Training and Support

After you have watched the onboarding videos on the 1MM platform you will be invited to attend an optional Mentee Workshop. At the workshop you will have the opportunity to develop skills learnt through the online course, discuss scenarios that are likely to occur during your mentoring experience, and meet other mentees and the 1MM team. 

You will also receive ongoing support throughout your mentoring via: a monthly mentee newsletter (the Roundup), featuring helpful tips and advice; a growing bank of resources available through the platform; and access to 1:1 support from the 1MM Mentee Coordinator.
